Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:

Conducts investigations of authorized firms or persons suspected of illegally selling products or services for food coupons. The investigator evaluates all possible investigative alternatives and data to develop the proper approach, by examining records of the firm's recent program participation including its redemption history, past records. Independently schedules and conducts investigations to insure the most efficient use of time and costs without hampering successful completion of the investigations. Works undercover, attempts to conduct violative food coupon transactions to obtain firsthand evidence in those situations where the investigator determines that he/she can fit in with the clientele of the suspected violator. Documents accurate information obtained on violations committed by firms. Interviews and takes signed statements from witnesses of possible widespread program abuse of participating firms in his/her area which need investigation. Provides technical assistance to FNS regional office, OIG, OGC, in connection with administrative hearings and judicial reviews.

Receives complaints and requests for assistance, reviews all paperwork obtained during the shift from patrols prior to their being released from duty. Responsible for property accountability to include arms and ammunition and keys to critical facilities.

Coordinates purchasing, contracting for all DOD Police property and equipment. Performed duties as PDO (Police Duty Officer). Served as Internal Control Officer for the division. Represented the chief of police at higher command briefings/meetings. Reviewed all reports/forms submitted and provided guidance to insure they are complete and accurate. Performed duties as departmental Record Custodian and Planning Officer.
